Peer Educators Training on STI, HIV and AIDS and SOGIE

Valencia City
August 19-20, 2014

At the end of the two-day training-workshop, the participants must have been able to:
1. Appreciate the framework of SOGIE in doing Peer Education among MSM
2. Enumerate the common types of STIs and its corresponding symptoms.
3. Discuss the difference between HIV and AIDS its mode of transmission and prevention methods
4. Enumerate the HIV mode of transmission and the corresponding principles of transmission.
5. Define the nature of peer education, and the following approaches.
6. Observe the principles and ethics in providing peer education to fellow MSM.
7. Familiarization with the forms and referral network for STI screening and management, and HIV
counseling and testing concerns.
