My favorite genre is mistery

Mistery is my favorite genre because I find it quite attractive. It presents some amazing
things, open doors to meet new sites, cultures, etc, I can go into the adventures that hide
inside them. The benefits of intrigue reading can be important when launching cognitive
functions as important as planning, logical deduction or anticipation, fundamental elements
in our brain structure and that we use frequently in our daily lives. This genre evokes many
kinds of emotions in me

STEP 8
My favorite book
Book: One Hundred Years of Solitude
Author: Gabriel García Márquez
Year of publication: 1967
Genre: Family Saga, Epic Fiction
The story focuses on the Buendía family, for six generations, from José Arcadio Buendía
and his wife Úrsula, belonging to one of the founding families of the town where the plot-
Macondo- takes place until the sixth, Aureliano Babylon. It is framed in the beginning of
the 20th century and you can see the war between liberals and conservatives in which
Colonel Aureliano Buendía is involved, belonging to the second generation, as well as the
arrival of the Americans to Macondo who install a banana. This book can bring you closer
to customs and the way of seeing the life of Spanish-American societies.

This book could relate to situations in Colombia because this country has always been bled
by civil wars, ravaged by the reciprocal horrors of liberals and conservatives, torn by the
betrayals of one another, paralyzed by the entanglements of The lawyers dressed in black.
And blinded by lies.

It seems to me that there must be a historical and family similarity, as it is worth noting
that these novelesque wars have the same origin as the historical ones, the conflict of the
ideals in the political elites, also that the damages caused to the civilian population both in
matter economic and social, with destroyed sources of life, families divided by ideals, etc.
All of which marvelously shows the work, starting not only with the sad story of the
colonel, but with his nephews, his friends, his wife, etc. Loneliness might seem to maintain
an intimate connection with the evocation of the past. In the book, no character seems
happy, almost all of them are marked by a tragic destiny that they also transmit to their
descendants.

In spite of its extension, the warp of characters, episodes and plots is meritoriously woven
into a solid and entertaining story that manages to keep the reader's interest. It is also a
beautiful chronicle, as a story, that overflows creativity and imagination.
