In our opinion, it would be helpful if the teachers interact more with the
students and activate their thinking skills through questioning frequently. Also,
conducting a pop-up quiz after a certain topic will help in determining the
student's understanding towards the topic. Actually using the information
gathered by these methods in adjusting and adressing the needs of the
students will make the teacher more effective. Meanwhile, summative
assessments should only include the lessons or topics that are actually tackled
during the teaching-learning process. Making your students self-study is being
irresponsible and not effective especially for those students who are constantly
in need of support from a teacher. Adhering to the standards if making tests is
recommended.
