Below you will find answers to some commonly asked questions:

Q: Why can't I find the audio files?

A: Soundfonts are patch files that store the accompanying .wav audio files within
them. Therefore, the audio files in soundfonts are not readily available. You can
extract the .wav files using 3rd party utilities.

To access the 3rd party links, go to our free stuff page:

Q: Should I read the samples/programs directly off of the disk?

A: You can do that, but its a lot slower than copying the contents to your hard
drive. Optionally, to maximize ease-of-use, we recommend installing your format
directory to C:\Platinum Audiolab\
Example: C:\Platinum Audiolab\"Library Name"\Soundfont

Q: Why do programs/samples sometimes load too loud or with some distortion?

A: Some samplers like to artificially 'boost' samples when loaded. If the samples
play back with some distortion in your sampler, simply turn down the output of your
sampler's volume setting, or your mixer track volume, as it is defaulting to a
louder setting than is necessary. You may also try loading a different format to
solve the issue with your sampler.

Q: Why do the programs load with slight differences in output across different
samplers?

A: Different samplers read programs differently (hence all of the different formats
out there), and may add or subtract some non-essential parameters (such as, cutoff,
envelope, tremelo, etc). You can simply subtract, or add, the parameters you desire
to each program, and save the program to your samplers native format. Make sure set
the global or program-specific pitch(octave), volume and modwheel settings as these
are the most common to load with different results across different samplers.

Q: I purchasd this library specifically for beat-making. Are there any free tools I
can use to do this?

A: Yes, you can find some good beat-making tools found under "Mixers, Sequencers
and Beat Makers" at our free stuff page. And SFZPlayer (VSTi) for using Soundfonts
under "VST FX & VSTi Instruments":

Q: Are your sample libraries Royalty-Free?

A: Yes. The purchase of this disk grants the original purchaser 100% Royalty-Free
license to use the samples to make original compositions. No additional clearances
are necessary - though credit is appreciated.
