Baptist Ministry Among Elderly People

Dear friends,

The TLA ministry in partnership with the Baptist Home Foundation, USA is interested to
identify people who have a clear sense of calling for doing ministry among elderly people. If
you are interested then, please send us the answer of the following in writing to be forwarded
for assessment and planning of future strategy that might include you:

7. What led you to this clear call from the Lord to serve senior adults and aging parents and
others who are neglected in your society? (You may write around 300-500 words)

8. What do you see yourself as doing as a local pastor to begin your church’s ministry to the
elderly in your church and perhaps the community that your church serves? (You may write
300 words)

9. Can you identify lay persons in your church who have a similar passion for the elderly or
are there any? Please write the background of these persons that would lead you to believe
they can help with this ministry. (Examples: has elderly mother, trained as a nurse, takes
food regularly to elderly neighbors, loves social work, is good at working with elderly with
dementia, teaches a Bible study group of elderly men or women, and other similar reasons)
