From the Desk

Dear friends,

Past few weeks the violence during worship services and physical
assault of pastors in our country have increased. The Minority
Commission of India and the national organization like Evangelical
Fellowship of India have recorded it. Some have even notified the Law-
and-Order Authorities. Justice is still awaited.

“Dabangis” (law breakers) are given freedom as they are seen as the
protector of the religion. But they are violating the law and justice.
When individuals make their choice to follow Jesus Christ, these groups In this Issue
assert it to be a forced conversion. Unfortunately, they fail to realize
that their hatred, lies, and forgeries are like scattering broken glasses

Second Wave Covid-19 Relief Work

Good Books Educational Trust (GBET)

along with HFC and TLA-ET reached out
to the needy with the practical help by
providing them with the rations.

As many daily wagers have no work and

no means to sustain their families, they
were getting desperate.

Total 1252 families & 4941 persons were

benefitted in Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam
Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and
Delhi.

Pioneer Mission Field, Duru Khatanga

GBET organized a Meeting at Duru,

Khatanga Village on July 9, 2021. This is the
pioneer mission field. The local church Pastor
connected with GBET and shared the
concerns he has been facing in his church,
parents and children relationship. He invited
the GBET team to help counsel. 50 people
comprising parents and youth attended the
meeting. Neelam talked on Parenting and
Vidyut shared the message for youth from
the book of Ecclesiastes 11:9- 12:1, focusing on
“Remember your Creator in the days of your
youth…”.

People appreciated the teaching and said

that they have never heard such practical
teachings. However, this program was for
very short duration. It would be good if we
can have such program for longer duration.
The GBET team planned to follow-up in the
month of October 2021.

Youth were also excited when they heard

about the ministry of GBET. They expressed
their interest in volunteering in the ministry
through Media.

Baptism & Wedding: God’s Faithfulness

Binod comes from a non- Christian background. After
knowing Jesus, he decided to serve the Lord and has
been working with Good Books Educational Trust since
long. He always had the burden for his family and
continuously prayed for their salvation.

His younger brother went ashtray in wrong company

leaving Binod worried and heart broken. However, he
never gave up on him and continuously prayed for him.
Whenever, his brother Vijay visited him he would try and
share the Gospel with him and invite him to attend the
family prayer. Slowly Vijay had the interest in listening
to the Word and he began to attend church sometimes.

Finally, he changed his ways and he begin to find joy in

worshiping Jesus. He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord
and Savior. He met a Christian girl after that, and they
agreed to marry. Vijay was baptized on 14 August 2021
followed by his wedding to Amarmani, is bride.

There are still few members in Binod’s family who need

to know Jesus. Kindly continue to pray for him and his
family.

The CDWs in Bihar has been reaching out to
the unreached places sharing the love of
Jesus through practical help to the needy and
desperate. House churches are running well
and they are experiencing the miracles of
God in the lives of people.

CDW Pankaj Das reported from his mission field, Dariyapur.

Meena Devi’s infant daughter suddenly fell ill, and they took her
to the local village doctor. However, the doctor seeing the
deteriorating condition of the child told them to take her to the
city hospital, but the child did not improve. Her face went black,
and her pulse was dropping rapidly. All hope was gone. But
Roopa, a 10-year-old sister-in-law was praying amidst all this hue
and cry. Roopa use to attend the house church of CDW Pankaj
and the Lord answered her prayer. Meena’s infant regained her
breath and slowly normalized. Meena says, “It was tormenting
for me to see my 10 days old infant die in front of me. Your God
is a true God. All praises to him.”

Pray for Meena and family as they desire to know more about
Jesus and Pankaj disciples them. May God bless them.
