ABSTRACT
A Solar Energy Steam Driven Electricity Generator is a system of electric energy made up of
Parabolic and Fresnel Trough Technology to collect and concentrate a large area sunlight or solar
thermal energy unto a smaller area. Heat Thermal energy is hence used up in water heating to
produce high pressured superheated steam. In solar Energy Technology solar has been greatly
used in electrification directly in small scale ignoring large scale production of electricity.
Therefore in this project looks forward to exploit and improve Solar Energy Technology by the
use of Fresnel Solar Collectors to heat water to about 450-500oc which is in form of steam. This
steam produced is channeled to steam turbines which are rotated; these turbines too are
connected to electricity producing generators which in turn produces electricity hence the name
Solar Energy Steam Driven Electricity Generator. The objective of this project majorly is to
produce large scale Electric Energy by the use of solar Fresnel collectors, conversion of solar
energy to kinetic energy which is in moving steam to mechanical energy at the turbines and
hence to electrical energy at the generator. This Technology is a Renewable Source of Energy
that is less costly, environmental friendly and a modern Technology that should be used in the
society today domestically and in large scale for other Companies.
