The further the vane is pushed the larger passageway (2) becomes. At a certain flow, shown on the scale, there is equilibrium between the opening force from the liquid and the spring force. The vane shaft turns to operate the pointer (F). 1818082-02 11 Function Description Flow Indicator 2 1818082-022 Maintenance 2.1 Cleaning Cleaning is normally not required for the indicator, if however the monitor does not respond properly to the flow rate, it is probably due to foreign materials building up around the swinging vane and hanging it up. Replace the control box gasket (2). 3. Unscrew the pointer screw (4) and remove the pointer (3), unscrew the screws (5) between the box and housing and remove the control box. 4, Replace the gasket (1) between the control box and housing. 1818082-02 32 Maintenance Flow Indicator 2.3 Replacement of Bowl Seal 1. Remove bowl (3) from the housing (1) and replace bow! seal (2). 2.
