ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE
CONTEMPT OF COURT JOHN CREUZOT
Be it remembered that on the 8" day of January, 2019, this Court entered an order entitled
Restrictions Regarding Publicity in the above numbered and styled cause. Counsel for the State
and counsel for the defendant were present in Court when the Court issued said order.
‘Thereafter, District Attomey John Creuzot did grant an interview which aired on KDFW Fox 4
television and online on September 22, 2019 and September 23, 2019 discussing the Amber

Guyger case knowing the trial of the case was set to begin September 23, 2019.
in direct violation of the Court’s Order restricting publicity and did obstruct the administration of
justice and impair the ability of the Court to conduct its business with dignity and in an orderly
and expeditious manner.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the said John Creuzot appear before this Court at
9:00 o’clock a.m. on the 31% day of October, 2019, in the courtroom of the 204" Judicial District
Court of Dallas County on the 7" Floor of the Frank Crowley Courts Building, 133 N. Riverfront
Bivd., Dallas, Texas, then and there to show cause why he should not be held in contempt of this
Court for the following act:
Granting an interview discussing the Amber Guyger murder case which
aired on KDFW Fox 4 television and online on September 22, 2019 and
September 23, 2019, in direct violation of this Court’s order restricting
publicity in the Amber Guyger case.
9 )W CAUSE - Page 1 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court issue a general notice to be
personally served on the said John Creuzot, together with a copy of this Order, by any Sheriff or
Constable of any county of the State of Texas, directing and requiring the said John Creuzot to
appear before this Court on the 31* day of October, 2019, at 9:00 o’clock a.m, then and there to
show cause why he should not be adjudged in.contempt of Court by reason of the facts set forth
in this Order to Show Cause. The said John Creuzot may be served at District Attomey’s Office,
Frank Crowley Courts Building, 11” Floor 133.N. Riverfront Blvd., Dallas, Texas, 75207,
telephone number 214-653-3600.

JUDGE TAMMY KEMP, in the Courtroom of the 204" Judicial District Court of Dallas County
on the 7" floor of the Frank Crowley Courts Building on the 31" day of October, 2019, at 9:00
o'clock a.m,
THEN AND THERE TO SHOW CAUSE WHY, IF ANY, you should not be held in contempt of
Court for giving an interview which aired on KDFW Fox 4 television and online on September
22, 2019 and September 23, 2019 discussing the Amber Guyger case knowing the trial of the
case was set to begin September 23, 2019 in direct violation of the Court’s order restricting
publicity issued in the Amber Guyger murder case, thereby disrupting the ability of the Court to
conduct its business in an orderly and expeditious manner and obstructing the administration of
justice as set forth in the accompanying ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE.
HEREIN FAIL NOT UNDER THE PENALTIES PRESCRIBED BY LAW

within the State of Texas;
