Task

Students are required to create a project recovery report regarding the

fictional project scenario covered during Assessment 3 forum discussion.
Students should rely upon the discussions of those forums, plus their own
knowledge of project recovery, to inform their report.

This report should contain both the student’s most important observations
as well as their most significant advice. This report should specifically
contain:

 A discussion on the four (4) most important, most compelling or most

insightful posts that were given (by anyone other than themselves) during
the A3 forum scenario discussion. Students should carefully and thoroughly
explain and justify why those posts are the 4 most important in their
opinion.
 Provide a report on what actions should be taken in this fictional project
scenario to normalise this project (assuming that the various proposed
recovery actions are successful). Students should explain and justify why
their chosen normalisation actions are appropriate.
 Provide a report on what future triggers, events or circumstances should
prompt the consideration to cancel this project (assuming the recovery
actions are inadequate). Students should explain and justify why they
believe these circumstances and thresholds are appropriate.

Rationale

This assessment task will assess the following learning outcome/s:

be able to differentiate between project recovery strategies and different
project methodologiesbe able to analyse information to judge when a
project cannot be reasonably recovered and should instead be ended
