POSITIVITY
Positive thinking is having the mindset of expecting good and desirable outcomes in our
life. Indeed, positivity is very vital in one’s life because it leads to healthy mental health. However,
despite the beneficial effects of positivity in our life it is undeniably hard to achieve such mindset
especially with the nature of our life nowadays. For me honestly I am not a very positive thinker
and I always expect for the worst things to happen because I do not want to get my hopes high and
be disappointed later on. Thus, it never really occurred to me to be a positive thinker. I always
have a mindset of just making my expectations grounded to reality so I rather prefer to be negative
thinker rather than being positive and just be dissatisfied later on. However, I am very much aware
that being pessimist has damaging consequences in my life as well. Certainly, pessimist thinking
sometimes affect my personality in a way that there are instances that I just want to be all by myself
and not interact with anyone and just let my thoughts eat me. Nonetheless, gradually I am really
trying to be a positive thinker because I know that it can also help me to solve my problems and
overcome my struggles. Incorporating positivity is indeed not an overnight activity it takes small
steps for me to achieve being a positive thinker.
