Performance Task Guidelines - IV - 2019 - Blogging
Role: You are a member of the student council at your Multi-lingual high school
and you were asked to address students in English.
Audience: Your writing is aimed at all teenagers at high school level in your
country and/or abroad.
Product & Purpose: You will create a blog post(min. 200-250 words) in order to
share your opinions and feelings with your audience and get a response from
them about their opinions, feelings and experiences.
Success Criteria: Your blog post must meet the following criteria:
Format:
The blogpost must have a catchy title, date, time and writer details. Must look like
a real web page, with address bar, archive, share and subscribe. Also include an
invitation for readers to leave comments at the end.
Conventions:
Eye-catching title, Write in ‘first person’, Use an informal style
Use short sentences and catchy phrases to get your readers attention.
Task achievement
Successfully completing all the parts of the task(as given above) and sticking to the
word limit of a minimum 200-250 words.
Task response: Ideas are fully developed and exemplified and is in a logical order.
Lexical Use: A variety of words are used in the correct context with the correct
meaning and spelling.
Writing Process: Follows all the stages of the writing process.(provide evidence)
