Agriculture still plays an important role in the country’s economy as measured

the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), but the percent of GDP of the agriculture sector
continues to decrease. Several factors can be attributed to the decrease; which reveal
that some schools, universities and colleges offering agricultural courses are clamoring
the reduction of enrollees’ year after, moreover, many of the agricultural schools are
producing office- oriented workers who would rather do paper work than help improve
the agricultural sector of the country.

With these, the Colegio de la Ciudad de Zamboanga (CCZ) continuously adheres

to the standard set by Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA)
on the courses offering. The Agricultural Crops Production (ACP) NC II department
has qualified the Course Audit conducted by TESDA to offer the program, which means
that the course meets all the standard qualification of the Agency to produce quality
and competent graduates and eventually help uplift the Agriculture sector of the
country.

The Agricultural Crops Production NC II program of CCZ aims to produce hands-

on graduates adhering to the Training Regulations (TR) of TESDA and trains student
to be flexible to the demands of time.
