Use a thickness gauge (3) to check that the distance between
Impeller ( I) and sealing ring (2) is 0.56 +- 1.08 mm.
Also check that there are no cracks in pump body. Ifthere are,
replace the whole water pump.

ELECTROMAGNETIC PULLEY SECTION

When cooling fluid temperature reaches the value of 94° ±

2°C, thermometric switch allows electromagnet (1) to be fed
and that, becoming magnetized, it attracts movable plate (2) 21----------4,.
thus causing hub (6) to become integral with electromagnetic
joint (3).

By-pass type thermostat (I) is inserted into the support (2)

fixed to cylinder heads and it does not need any adjustment.
Ifthere are any doubts about its serviceability. replace it. Ther-
mostat initial opening 79° ± 2°C.
