1. Overview

1.1 Hogwarts History

Over a thousand years ago the magicians were suffering misunderstanding and fear by

muggles. Four wizards with exceptional talent decided to found a magic school, around 992,

to offer a refuge and transmit their knowledge. So, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff,

Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin created the school in a castle and went in search of

people with the necessary skills to teach magic to future students.

The founders’s opinions about the choice of students began to differ very quickly. The school

was then divided into four separate houses. So, Godric Gryffindor decided to enchant his hat

call it the "sorting hat" to replace them.

1.2 Architecture and Location

Hogwarts is located in the Scottish Highlands. The school is protected by numerous

enchantments and spells that make it impossible to find for Muggles. Instead, Muggles only

see some ruins and danger signs.

Hogwarts is a big castle on top of a mountain, towering, menacing appearance with towers and

corridors everywhere. J. K. Rowling, the author of the novels said she has not drawn a

Hogwarts plan because it would be difficult even for the most skilled architect, since

that its 142 stairs are moving.

psychological analysis of the students and determine their aptitudes, then announces aloud the

house to which the student will belong forever.

III. CONCLUSIONS

S xometime about 1000 years ago four of the best magicians of the time Gryffindor, Rowena

Ravenclaw and Helga hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin shared the desire to form the best school

of magic and sorcery in the world so once they did it each created a house for the different

personalities and abilities of the young Magi, Godric wanted to teach the brave at heart and

those who had preferably achieved a great feat, Rowena wanted to teach only those who tested

their intelligence and had a momentum of knowledge, Helga wanted teach everyone equally

but valued those who were fair and noble at heart and Salazar Slytherin wanted to teach those

who were cunning and ambitious but especially those who had magic ancestry So they were

pure blood for what he did not consider born of dignified or trustworthy Muggles.
