Converting From CA CPT to ​CA Foundation Course​.
ICAI has announced a Self Service Portal for CA CPT Students for conversion to CA
Foundation Course. For further knowledge, you have to read this article and you will get
to all about conversion from ca cpt to ca foundation.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Since June 2019 being last attempt for Common Proficiency Test (CPT), students who
have registered in CPC till 30th June, 2017 and have either not been successful in
clearing the CPT or on account of any reason not been able to appear in the CPT can
appear in Foundation exam to be held in November, 2019 provided -
● the student has passed the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination conducted by
an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by
the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto for the
purpose of admission to graduation course and
● converted from CPC to Foundation Course latest by 16th August 2019.
ICAI has extended the last date for conversion
This is in continuation of our announcement dated 17th July 2019.

The last date of conversion from CPC to Foundation Course was 16th August 2019 and
considering the hardship being faced by students in converting themselves from CPC to
Foundation Course, it has been decided by the Competent Authority that the last date of
conversion is extended from 16th August, 2019 to 7th September, 2019for appearing in
November 2019 Foundation Exams provided -

(i) the student has passed the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination conducted by an
examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central
Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto for the purpose of
admission to graduation course.

For conversion from CPC to Foundation Course, the students may visit Self Service
Portal at ​www.icai.org

Conversion Fees for CA CPT to CA Foundation

Case 1 : All students registered in Common Proficiency Course and are pursuing
Class 11th / Class 12th.
Way forward : Such Students may appear for all available attempts, i.e, June 2019
under old scheme Or After appearing in Class 12th exam, students may convert to
Foundation Course under revised scheme at any point of time w.e.f 1st July, 2017 or
compulsorily have to convert after completion of the available attempts, i.e, June 2019
under old scheme, by paying conversion charges of Rs.500/- (US$ 40) and the study
material for revised scheme will be provided free of cost but shipping charges will be
borne by the students.

Case 2: All students registered in Common Proficiency Course and appeared in

Class 12th Exam / qualified Class 12th Examination / appeared for CPT but not
qualified.
Way forward : Such Students may appear for all available attempts, i.e, June 2019
under old scheme Or They may convert to Foundation Course under revised scheme at
any point of time w.e.f 1st July 2017 or compulsorily have to convert after completion of
the available attempts, i.e, June 2019 under old scheme, by paying conversion charges
of Rs.500/- (US$ 40) and the study material for revised scheme will be provided free of
cost but shipping charges will be borne by the students. Such students would be eligible
to appear in immediate Foundation Examination to be held after switching provided that
the student has passed class 12th Examinations.

Steps for Conversion of CA CPT to CA Foundation:

1. Go to The Self Service Portal ​If you don't have Login details then click on the arrow
"Click Here". If you already have the Login details, fill the User id and password and
complete the Login and go directly to step 4.
2. Click on Student Option.

3. Fill the Details and Validate them. After verifying the details, you will get a USER ID
and PASSWORD on your registered e-mail address. Login using these details.
 4. Click on Student Cycle.

5. Click on Other Forms and select the Conversion Form. Fill all the information
asked and do the online payment of Rs.500. After a successful payment, you will
receive a confirmation via e-mail.
