The list of dos and don’ts concerning air travel and airports is an epic tome these days –
and it gets longer with each incident. If you’re a frequent flier, do yourself a favor and keep
abreast of the myriad changes that airport authorities, airlines, police and security have
implemented.
To illustrate the point, we’ve put together a catch-all list.

1. Do’s

 Take airport security seriously and heed the directions of screeners,


airport officials and airline employees.

 Joking will likely land you in trouble


 Or cause you to miss your flight.

 In-flight food is rarely free – and almost never nutritious – so bring


the following:
 healthy snacks
 pillow
 diversions
 reading material

 Unattended Luggage in Terminal:


 At Arrivals:
 Baggage with tags will be handed to respective
Airline at Baggage Claim
 Baggage without tags but with Duty Free Goods
will be handed to MRA Customs
 Baggage without tags with non-duty-free goods
will be handed to Airport Police
 Baggage with tags outside Arrival Hall will be
handed to Airport Police
 At Departures
 Baggage found in MC or outside must be deliver
to Airport Police
 Baggage found in sterile area will be handed to
Customs /Police

2. Don’ts

 Don’t drink a lot of the following before a flight because dehydrate


you and airline officials might not let you on the flight if you’re drunk:

 Coffee
 Alcohol

 Pack only carry-on luggage when possible, taking care not to exceed:

 limits on size (bags must fit under your seat)


 number (usually two)

 Do not pack sharp objects in your hand luggage, such as:


 Knives
 Scissors
 Corkscrews or knitting needles

 Do not let a loose battery come into contact with metal objects like:
 Coins
 Keys
 Jewelry
