Howdy, this is what is happening

in our class this!

We are learning about Phonemic

Awareness, which is the ability

to notice, think about, and work

with the individual sounds in

words.

Here are some examples to work with at home!

Rhyming- This one is a simple one to work Follow the beat!- Teach your child

with kids. You use nursery rhymes or a syllables by clapping the "beats" they

simple game like do you know a word that hear in the word. This can work for not

rhymes with fox? just clapping but also jumping!

ex: e-le-phant

Now for the techie fun:

Songs are great ways to learn! Apps on mobile devices are also another

great way!
