1. Kickers
- The kicker or shoulder is a great help to headline writers. It provides
them the extra space that they desperately need to pack meaning in
headlines.

-The shoulder or kicker has been defined as the headline that is


placed on top of the main headline. This headline is set in small
points, and its purpose is to supplement the main headline.

- The headline is the text indicating the nature of the article below it.
Nothing big enough to say IT'S JUST SO BIG!!

3. SubHeadings
- A heading or caption subordinate to a main headline, heading, or
title especially when inserted as a divider between sections.

- These break up the text and give the viewers' eyes a place to rest,
as well as serving as a navigational cue as to content to be found in a
particular section.

4. Teasers
- They Invite further into your site from top-level pages or from other
areas of the site such as the table of contents, captions under photos
or as additional links under a related story.

-Teasers are very brief pieces of either visual or textual information,


or more commonly, a combination of both, that is presented on a
prime page as a way to inform and excite a reader regarding
information ‘buried’ in the inside pages.

Photographs
- They can help a lead a reader into a story or explain concepts that
may otherwise take ten pages to be explained.
