Formal Lesson Plan

Objectives: to inform students of the different types of student disabilities

and bring them to a better understanding of the types of students we will be
working with in the future.

Materials: PowerPoint, hard copy of PowerPoint, lesson plan, thumb

drive, notecards, video “dear teachers” from YouTube,

Instruction:
-start with introducing myself and topic
- take poll on working with disabled children
-State Objective: to inform all classmates of the different types of student
disabilities.
-Begin PowerPoint:
- IDEA and video
- Specific learning disability
- Speech or language impairment
-Intellectual disabilities
-Emotional disturbance
-Multiple disabilities
-autism
-Visual impairment
-Traumatic brain injury
 -Deaf-blindness
-Non-categorical and developmental delay

Closure:
Now that we have loose grasp on the different disabilities, we can better
accommodate those with these disabilities and help to better the education
they receive
