CHAPTER 1

This chapter introduces and discusses the topic of the project and provides a brief introduction

and specifies the problem of the study.

INTRODUCTION

Nowadays, in a highly technology society, human productivity is made more efficient through the

development of electronic gadgets. Now, with the Advent of such modernization in education, one

way to globalize the process of research is to realize that technology is advancing at an incredibly fast

phase. Computers are not confined to being used for entertainment but it's role in education is also

vast.

With the Advent of computer technology more and more schools are taking advantage of variety of

application or systems are available both offline and online that can help save time on administrative

tasks and give teachers more time to attend to other important functions.

Teacher tool management system provides user friendly, automated monitoring and management

tools for all classes. These sophisticated tools support students and teachers information. Teacher can

reduce the time typically spent managing curriculum software with features like unlimited student

database, automated writing evaluation, calculation of periodical grades of real time reports. But,

systems do not often relate expectations, outcomes and performance. As each student desires to

achieve a teacher in order to make their evaluation fair and comprehensive. These are necessary to

avoid disagreement from students and parents.

The main concern is recording of all incoming and outgoing students and staff that makes it easy for

the administrator to lessen the recording or keeping a data or profile of the students and teachers.

At the same time, the ACLC Senior High School department are already using class record portal

which is connected to the AMA University, The main of all branches while the college department of

ACLC College of Iriga, still using a Ms Excel to compute and submitting through sending emails or

hard copy to the administrator.

The advantages of this is that, it will provide easy access to information relating and within the school

as well as allow the users to properly sort out data needed for their work and also the disadvantage is

that if not handled properly or not understood, this will make the users work hard defeating the

proposed advantages of the use of system.

Primary objective of this study is to develop a teacher tool management system for ACLC College of

Iriga.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this study attempts to develop a system and lessen the problem encountered

by the staff of ACLC College of Iriga Inc. to determine the needs and accommodate services of the

staff and to develop administrative tool management system of ACLC College of Iriga Inc. in San

Miguel Iriga City.

OBJECTIVES:

The primary objective of this study is to develop an Administrative Tool Management

System of ACLC College of Iriga and to achieve the following.

Specific Objectives:

 To develop a system that will eliminate the process of Administrative

Tool Management system.

 To easily create a module that will record the student’s grades.

 To lessen papers and time used in keeping students records.

Statement of the Problem

Specific Problem:

• The amount of time used in making grades, compiling it and sending it to the

administrators.

Significance of the study

ACLC College of Iriga Inc.

San Miguel , Iriga City

The ACLC College of Iriga Inc. is a private school that uses manual process of

computing the grades for college students at the same time the Senior High School has already

online grading system.

In order to eliminate the long process and step by step computation of grades, our group

decided to develop a computerized teacher tool management system for teachers,

Administrator, and students of ACLC College of Iriga Inc.

A networking Teacher Tool Management System for ACLC College of Iriga Inc. will

provide a marked improvement in the way teacher’s record and compute for the grades of

students. The study will be a great help to the following.

 TEACHERS

 Teachers would be able to record and compute for the grades of their

students faster thereby lessening their workload and providing them with

added time to attend to other functions. This in turn would improve their

efficiency as teachers.

 ADMINISTRATORS

 School administrators no longer have to recomputed the grades of each

student to check on their accuracy. Reports such as grading sheets and class

records can be submitted on time.

 STUDENTS

 By means of this proposed system, they will automatically know the grades

after the computation if they passed or failed the subjects. Students can now

look forward to better lessons since their teachers would have added time to

prepare for them their lesson plans.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

The scope of this study is limited only to the project of ACLC College of Iriga Inc., San

Miguel, Iriga City.

The main concern is the recording of all incoming and outgoing students and staff that

makes it easy for the administrators to lessen the recoding of a data or profile of the child.

Our computerized teacher tool management system will allow data manipulation

features like: computing grades, saving student’s data, editing, deleting and printing out the

recorded grades. This system allow only teacher in computing and input the grades. Unless,

otherwise the student’s grades need to change ta data. Only admin who can change or

CHAPTER 3

This chapter deals with the research methods used in the study. The materials/ equipment used

as well as the procedures.

RESEARCH METHOD

This study utilized the descriptive and creative method of research.

This descriptive method was use because it systematically describes a situation or area of

interest factually and accurately. It involves the collection in order to determine the information about

the department and one of its focuses is to describe the perception of the respondents and comparing

them for significance differences against the normal distribution of information.

Travers (1992), states that, “Descriptive methods include all those studies that pertain to the

present facts concerning the nature and status of group of persons, a number, or any other kind of

phenomena which one wishes to study”.

You can describe things as they are. How do people implement this program?, What challenges

do people face?, What are people perceptions?, Did the program cause any changes in participants

outcomes? The important of this type of research in teacher tool management system is it will determine

averages, frequencies, and other statistical data of ACLC College of Iriga. With this information,

teachers/ staffs can easily determine the grades and other information about the students.

Creative method was use to make the system functional. Creative method employs the explicit

and stylistic approach of human experience. In developing on introduction of software engineering for

the ease of use of the user, creativity is very important.

According to Aquino (1993), Creative research is a reflective thinking in situation as aesthetic

values. It may have its origin in a feeling of need of life experience above and beyond those of ordinary

personal or group satisfaction.

PROCEDURE OF THE STUDY

To gather the data, the researchers conducted informal and formal interviews to the ACLC

College and Senior High School faculty staff and student. They also conducted a library research in

different schools of the neighbouring towns and cities, and had gone also in a document analysis, to

gather some related studies and literature needed in the present study and the other data information

needed. A letter of approval and other communications is shown in the appendices.

RESEARCH RESPONDENT

The respondents who provide the data were the ACLC staff and CSPC Staff. The data used in

intensifying the Teacher Tool Management System ACLC College of Iriga Inc.
