Errors in this experiment might have been caused by the unnecessary holes in the sieve, releasing more cement than expected. Another thing is the excess spaces around the sieve and its cover, causing a few amounts of the cement to fly out of the pan. Moreover, the captured and recorded weight might have been one of the changes in the weight of the material in the digital weighing scale as the air affected the specimen in the sieve. In addition to that, the underneath of the sieve might have been brushed too much, probably forcing amounts of the cement to pass through the screen.
