femur reconstruction Senior Seminar will be held in April 2019 in Hefei, Anhui Province. Reference center

of the program is Anhui Provincial Hospital. Anhui Provincial Hospital gathers numerous famous experts

respected home and abroad, and provides great chances to exchange clinical techniques and research

achievements of orthopedics through advanced theoretic courses and live surgery observation. With the

support of Naton Academy, Prof. Shang and his team look forward to a successful program with surgeons

from different countries.

Quota of Participant: 15 qualified surgeons (For a better learning effect, the number of participants will

be strictly controlled.)

of Anhui Provincial Hospital,

founded in the 1898, is China's

famous orthopedic clinical and

research center. It has six

orthopedic subspecialty centers

of spine, joint, trauma, sport

medicine, bone tumor and hand

surgery. Under the leadership of the Professor Shang Xifu, the department now has 284 beds and

complete more than 14,000 arthroplasty surgeries last year. Professor Shang Xifu’s team is very skilled

in Lateral position DAA and proximal femur reconstruction surgery.

About Lateral Position DAA

Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) is a minimally invasive technique used for total

hip replacement (THR) which limits damage to surrounding tissue. DAA may

result in reduced length of hospital stay, earlier mobilization indicating faster

post-operative recovery, and improved patient satisfaction compared with

other THR approaches. Professor Shang‘s team is very skilled in Lateral

position DAA and proximal femur reconstruction surgery without special

instruments, more than 800 cases performed by prof. Shang’s team.
