1. Impaired physical mobility related to pain secondary to episiotomy. The patient report pain due to episiotomy conducted. Verbalize understanding of situation and individual treatment regimen and safety measures. The nurse must demonstrate passive or active ROM exercises to all extremities to enhance increased venous return, maintains muscle strength and stamina. 2. Readiness for enhanced breastfeeding The patient expresses desire to provide breast milk for child’s nutritional needs. The nurse must demonstrate effective techniques for breastfeeding and its benefits so that the patient will be able to understand and verbalized it.
B. DISCHARGE PLANNING INSTRUCTIONS:
Medication After discharge on hospital, the patient must continue home medication as prescribed by doctor Exercise Walk at least 30 minutes a day for relaxation of muscle in uterus and continue exercise to strengthen bones and muscles. Treatment Low fat diets, increase intake of food rich in protein, calcium and vitamins especially with nutrients for breast milk Health Teachings Follow prescribed medications, proper exercise, and proper diet for healthy body and active breastfeeding for the baby. Out Patient Department Instruct the patient to return another one week for follow up checkup and consultation Diet The patient must eat a variety of foods, drink plenty of liquids, eat foods that have protein such as milk, cheese, yogurt, meat, fish and beans. Eat fruits and vegetables, Lose weight safely and take prenatal vitamins for healthy body
