A. LISTENING SECTION
In this section of the test you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken
English. There are four parts to this section with special directions for each part.
PART I. Directions: There are three items in this part. For each item, you will see a picture on
your test paper and you will hear four short statements. The statements will
be spoken TWICE. They will not be printed on your test paper, so you must
listen carefully to understand what the speakers say. When you hear the four
statements, look at the picture on your test paper and choose the statement
that best describes what you see in the picture. Then, on your answer sheet,
find the number of the question and mark your answer.
Statement (B), “The screen is on the wall”, best describes what you
see in the picture. Therefore, you should mark (B) on your answer
sheet.
Now let’s begin with the picture marked number one (1) on your test paper.

PART III. Directions: There are four items in this part of the test. For each item you will hear a
short conversation between two people. You will hear the conversations
TWICE. They will not be printed on your test paper, so you must listen
carefully to understand what the speakers say. On your test paper, you will
read a question about each conversation. The question will be followed by
four answers. You are to choose the best answer to each question and mark
it on your answer sheet.

question and mark it on your answer sheet.

B. READING SECTION
In this part of the test you will have the chance to show how well you understand written English.
There are four parts to this section, with special directions for each part.
PART V. Directions: From questions 16 – 24, four clauses/sentences, marked (A), (B), (C), or
(D), are given beneath each incomplete dialog. Choose the one
clause/sentence that best completes the dialog. Then, on your answer sheet,
find the number of the question and mark your answer.

On the evening of Friday, September 28,2018 a 7.5 magnitude earthquake 10 km (6.2 mi) under the
western coast of Sulawesi triggered a tsunami wave of up to 6 m (19 ft) which swept into Palu Bay
at 400 km/h (250 mph). The wave devastated the city. Relief efforts are currently underway, though
slow in some areas due to difficulty in accessing them (especially with heavy equipment).
A health crisis has resulted from heavy rains spreading malaria and dengue fever, difficulty of
access to clean water, temporary living conditions, and decomposing bodies.
This week the disaster agency said that, based on reports from local village chiefs, there could be
5,000 people missing from Petobo and Balaroa, although these are yet to be accounted for in the
official figures. With the search called off apart from some small-scale efforts, many could be
presumed dead.
Officials have warned that the final death toll could rise into the thousands, with some of the worst
hit areas still yet to be accessed by rescuers.

WAKATOBI
Wakatobi offers excellent Scuba Diving on some of the most pristine Reefs on the planet. The resort
is located in the Wakatobi National Park (also known as Tukang Besi National Marine Park) in the
Banda Sea.
The main attractions here are the outstanding Coral and the amazing Biodiversity. This place is
famous for the high density and variety of small creatures and critters you can find. Several new
species have been found around Wakatobi.
Serious macro Underwater Photographers come here from all over the world to get excellent pictures
opportunities. You can spot Pygmy Seahorse on a superb Sea Fan, rare and colourful species of
Nudibranchs and newly discovered species of the Ghost Pipefish.
Wakatobi is not really the best spot for big fish and action, not like diving in the Komodo National
Park for example, but you can still spot many Blacktip Reef Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks as well as
Grey Sharks on several dive sites. Eagle Rays and Turtles are common encounters too.

B.J.Habibie
Before entering the age of 40 years, Habibie had very brilliant career, especially in the design and
construction of aircraft. Habibie became the "jewels" in the land of Germany and he got a
"respectable" position, either materially or intellectually by Germany. During his work at MBB
(Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm) in 1965-1969 in Germany, Habibie contributed a variety of
research results and theories of science and technology in the field of Thermodinamika,
