 Mr. Aditya Mehta is a well-known businessman lives in Jam Nagar, a business hub and
port town of the country Endiana. He is the Chairman cum Managing Director of the
M/S Mehta&sons, deals with export and import of diamonds and other precious
jewelry. Mr. Mehta has two Sons Arihant and Abhijay, are also part of the Board of
directors. Bansuri Mehta, Mr. Mehta’s daughter is a well-known Jewellery designer
and owner of the brand ‘Bansndhara’ and also runs multiple designer stores in Endiana
and abroad.
 M/s Mehta&sons is an Endiana company, Registered under the Laws of the country but
operates internationally in export and import of diamonds and other valuable stones. It
has a well-structured hierarchy to carry out its ordinary business activity. Arihant Mehta
deals with the business transaction with the United States, the United Kingdom, and
Canada and other major European Countries and Abhijay Mehta deals with Australia,
New Zealand and major Asia-pacific Nations. Rest of the country is taken care of by
Mr. Mehta himself. All three of them assisted by a team of well-qualified Managers
and Professionals.

 Suddenly from 22nd September 2019 to 28th September 2019 M/s
Mehta&Sons received seven default notices, all from Australia and New Zealand
diamond merchant for non-payment of the consignment. This was surprising for the
company because such a transaction is not been shown in the account books. With a
complete state of confusion, Mr. Aditya Mehta communicated the same to all those
seven diamond merchants.
 In response the traders sent the original consignment contract, with bills of leadings and
invoice in the name of M/s Mehta&sons, individually. The official mails of all of them
 were more or less similar and original consignment contract is identical. Further, it was
discovered that the consignment was ordered by email, from the official id of the
company in the name of Abhijay Mehta, who usually deals with, those countries in
general and those seven merchants in particular, in the ordinary course of business.
 The company took this issue seriously and formulate an export committee for inquiry,
on dated 2nd October 2019. It came into the public that, all the seven consignment
orders were sent from the official email Id of the company with the solvent certificate
and financial statement, sealed and signed by Abhijay Mehta. Further, it was reviled
that, those emails were neither sent rom the personal or official computers or the phone
of Abhijay, rather than from the computer which is assigned to the Marketing Manager,
Raga Deva.
 This is to note that mk When a show cause was asked by the company from him in this
matter, Raga Deva in his defense stated that,Soon after his joining, the HR of the
company, assigned a system to him, but he did not have the access to the same till
5th March 2019, as his company email Id was not made and the specific password was
not assigned. Further in his first day itself, it is impossible for him to get the official
email id with the name document and identify the potential traders and mail them the
consignment.
 This is also very important to note that along with an MBA degree Raga Deva also hold
a degree of B.E in IT from one of the elite university of Endiana. An FIR was filed by
M/S Mehta&son against Raga Deva. The police took cognisance of the same and
proceed investigation but so far did not arrest him.
 Meanwhile on dated 11th October 2019 , ‘Basundhara’ is about to host a fashion show,
which was supposed to feature Bansuri Mehta’s new design. The show shoppers
supposed to be Miss Dupika padukon , a well-known movie actress of Endiana
and brand ambassador of ‘Basundhara’. The same design is very unique and precious,
because of rear imported diamonds from South Africa.
 The show went fantastic. A group of seven men, masked, hence unidentified entered
the event hall with a gun during the post-show party. Soon one of the man took Miss
Dupika Padukon as a hostage and put the gun on her forehead, ask Bansuri to give them
all the jewellery. As Miss Dupika was in danger, Bansuri had to give them all the
jewellery.
 This news broke like fire as the event was grand and had a high security and police
approaches to the spot. While leaving in a hurry, in order to create fear among the
 crowd, so that no one will come after them one among those men shoot randomly.One
the bullet hit Bnasuri’s chest and she was grievously hurt and bleeding excessively.
 She was rush to the hospital but got delayed for a while due to traffic on the road. While
on her arrival no doctor was available,(that time was the change in duty) neither there
was an availability of first aid in the ambulance. The doctor arrived after an hour by
the time Bansuri died because of excessive bleedings. This is a fact that the required
medical attention could save Bansuri’s life.
 Police succeed to find the two of those seven-person Ravi and Suraj from the AirPort
while faying to Dubai under Fake Pass Port
 They confessed before police that they worked for a lady named Amrapali Rathore.
Who gave them a huge amount of money and it was she who gave them the weapon
and air tickets. But they were asked to steal the jewellery by creating fear among the
crowd. They opened fair because they were scared after hearing the police siren.
Neither they were asked or intended to kill anyone.
 Police investigate upon the lady Amrapali Rathor and found that She is also a jewellery
designer and long-time competitors of Bansuri. Surprisingly, the office computer of
Miss Rathor found with all the information on Bansuri’s event and design. The further
investigation stated that their information was mailed by an unknown email id from the
same system which was assigned to Raga in M/s Mehta&sons Office.

On the basis of this Raga was arrested and Amrapali is still absconding.

The case is pending before Additional Sessions Judge of Jam Nagar. The court is yet to frame
the charges and followed by a trail of the case.
