Introduction
The “Peafowl Theme” provided by AppJetty is a fully responsive HTML5 Bootstrap for Odoo CMS. It
helps you enhance the visibility and robustness of your website. You can easily customize your website
by playing with a wide variety of customization tool and snippets.

Pre-requisites
• Following points must be followed before starting the plug-in installation:

▪ You should login as an Admin in Odoo.

▪ Check that your Odoo Instance is compatible for Peafowl Theme.
▪ An e-commerce module should be present in your instance to use this app.

Note: Peafowl Theme v11's all new features are not available in v8, v9 and v10.

Installation
Installation Steps
• Download and extract the zip file.

• Check your Odoo add-ons path.

▪ It should be same as defined in Odoo Config file.

▪ Config files are mostly saved in /etc folder. For e.g. /etc/odoo.conf

▪ Open Config file:

▪ Give the command: sudo/etc/odoo.conf

▪ Config file content: addons_path = /opt/odoo/addons

• Open Terminal and go to download location.

▪ For e.g. if the download location path is: /home/odoo/Downloads then the command to be
written in the terminal would be: cd/home/odoo/Downloads

• Copy download modules to addons path.

• Following points must be followed before starting the plug-in installation:

▪ You should login as an Admin in Odoo.

▪ Check that your Odoo Instance is compatible for Peafowl Theme.

▪ An e-commerce module should be present in your instance to use this app.

• Restart Odoo server.

• Login with the admin credentials in your odoo instance.

• Activate the Developer Mode

▪ To activate Developer Mode, Go to Settings -> Activate the developer mode (with assets).
Click on ‘Activate the developer mode (with assets)’ and developer mode will be
activated.

• Go to Settings/Update Apps List.

▪ Click on ‘Update’ button.

• Go to Settings/Apps

▪ Remove search filter

• Enter module name in the search box provided in the top right corner of the page. For e.g. here
write “Peafowl Theme”.

• Click on ‘Install’ button.

Theme Configuration
Product Configuration

• Log into your Odoo Instance as Admin. Go to Sales -> Products. Open any product in ‘Edit’ mode.

• Click on the ‘Sales’ tab. You will find two new options:

▪ Arrival Products

▪ Feature Products

• Tick the checkbox against the category in which you would like to include your product. This will
reflect during “Product Scroller Snippet”.

Theme Customization

• Click on Website. You will be directed to the home page of your website.

• Find a settings icon on the top right corner of the page. Click on the icon and a theme
customization menu will appear.

• Layout: You can choose the layout from “Wide” and “Boxed”. Wide option will cover full page and
box option will be compact compared to the wide layout.

• Primary Color: Choose your favorite color from six available options for the content.

• Background Pattern: This will be reflected when you choose the box layout. The selected pattern
will be displayed on the sides.

• Primary fonts: Select the desired font from six available options for your content.

Block customization

• Click on the ‘Edit’ button in the top header. You will find an ‘Insert Blocks’ button.

• The category of the blocks and respective custom snippets are as follows:

▪ Product Scroller

▪ Total count: Enter the no of images you would like to display in the products
Scroller.

▪ Title: Enter the text to be displayed as a heading to the product Scroller.

▪ Sub title: Enter the text to be displayed below the heading as a sub title.

▪ Product: Select the category of products from “Arrival” or “Featured”. The

products will be displayed according to the category selected by comparing it
with the check box ticked in the product detail page in step 1.

Edit Snippets

• Admin can edit the snippets/blocks after creation. To proceed with this, click on ‘Edit’ button and
select the container block you would like to modify.

• The ‘Customize’ drop down contains option respective to the selected snippet.

Edit Product Scroller Snippet

• The modification of ‘Product Scroller’ snippet is quite different. To modify it, first and foremost
select the snippet.

• Click on ‘Modify’ option from the ‘Customize’ drop down.

• A popup will be displayed as on page 9. Fill up the information and click on ‘Apply Button’. Then
click on ‘Save’.

• The modification will be reflected in the snippet.
