In order to have free will, mankind (Adam and Eve) had to have a chance to disobey God. It is in
Genesis 2:15 to 17.

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Land the Lord God commanded the man, “you are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you
must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will
certainly die.” (Genesis 2:15-17)

In Genesis 3, Satan (in form of a serpent) tempted Eve to eat from “the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil”. She did it and so did Adam.
They were using their “free will” in doing that.
They used it in everything-what they chose to do/not do, where they chose to go/not go, what
Ad’Ham chose to name animals, what they chose to eat/not eat, when, and how. They were not
created robots but with the ability to choose from day one. As we all are. Even to eat from the
wrong tree, if they so choose. Which they did.

Thus, unfortunately, they completely make good, even smart choices, at least once, when they
chose not to heed the warning of the Most Holy to not eat from the free if the knowledge of Good
and Bad.

Most teach that the Most Holy laid a punishment upon them if they did eat. That is a lie. He did
not tell them that if they ate he would kill them; he warned them that if they ate, they would die.

Given who and what the “tree” represented, the warning was an act of love, not restricted. The
“Good” was life… which they knew: not only did they eat from the tree of to be alive, live. They
did not, thought, know bad/evil… or death… yet.

Like spirit beings in general- although death existed in the spirit realm , it had and has no hold on
them as spirit beings don’t die- only physical beings and that only after Ad’ham became the “door”
that let death in ( to the physical realm. Before that, death did not exist here).
Which was another of Ad’Ham’s poor choices, of which there were several:

Listening to eve and not reproving her then not asking forgiveness for her, and not offering his
perfect life… and so perfect blood… to “cover” her error so that she could live( he wouldn’t have
did instead , as he had committed no error and did not have death “in” him, yet). Not being
accountable and taking responsibility for his part once he did eat and blaming her for his own
choice of action as well as blaming the Most Holy by insinuating that the woman he’d given him
was “defective” somehow, and finally. Turning over the entire physical realm, which had been
given him by the Most holy… to care for and protect… to the agent of death. Genesis 1:28b, 29a;
Luke 4:6.
