Enzyme is globular protein that act as catalyst to speed up chemical reaction by lowering the
activation energy.

2. State 3 properties of enzyme.

 Speed up the rate of chemical reaction
 Lowering the reaction activation energy

3. Draw the labeled graph and explain how enzyme lowering the activation energy.

Based on the graph, the enzyme with activation energy (Ea) is lower than enzyme without Ea.
This is due to enzyme is bring the substrate molecules together and weaken the bond. Then, it
facilitate the breaking of the bonds inside the substrate.

4. State 2 factor that affect the enzymatic reaction.

 Temperature
5. Describe how competitive inhibitor affecting enzyme reaction.
Competitive inhibitor has similar structure to substrate.
Therefore, inhibitor will compete with substrate for same active site.
When the inhibitor bind to the active site, it preventing the substrate to bind with enzyme.
Thus, no reaction occur and slow the rate of reaction.
