 • Inspect equipment, machinery and tools for any defects and make necessary
repair or replacement before using them.
• Practice in Rig Down, Rig move and Rig Up
• Ensure tublar count is correct
• Organize crew for task being done
• Insure equipment is ready for future operation and insure the necessary
maintenance jobs are carried out.
• Monitor the mud pump & high pressure lines
• Assist driller while Nipple Up & Nipple down the BOP stack
• Supervise or replace derrick man in mixing drilling fluids on mud system and
act as a relieve on derrick
• Perform periodical derrick inspection.
• Train or arrange for training of crew
• Maintain records for drilling & servicing operations.
