 Chapter 11 : Circles

The criterion to be assessed is knowledge and understanding. This criterion expects students
to use their knowledge and to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts and skills
of the prescribed frame work in order to make deduction and solve problems. Through
knowledge and understanding students develop mathematical reasoning to make deduction
and explore concepts and develop problem – solving skills.

The objectives of the cumulative test are the following:

 To know and demonstrate understanding of some of the concepts of numbers and

geometry .
 Use appropriate mathematical concepts and skills to solve simple problems in both
familiar and unfamiliar situations.
 Select and apply basic rules correctly to solve problems.
 To identify strength and weakness of the subject matter.
 There are total of 34 questions and the maximum marks a student can score is 80.
