UNIT - 3

Workshop 2:
“LEARNING TO OBSERVE
(AND TO LISTEN)”
SCENE OF THE DAY:
The Guru Nanak College of Education selected the four
branches of Guru Harkishan Public School that are located at India
Gate, Nanak Piao, Punjabi Bagh and Tilak Nagar for Preliminary
School Engagement (PSE). The students are allotted schools for
PSE as per the location of their residence/suitability. Fortunately, I
get GURU HARKISHAN PUBLIC SCHOOL, INDIA GATE, NEW
DELHI for my PSE Training which was near to my residence.
The situation that I want to share was held at outside of the
class 10th “C” in balcony of the 2nd floor of the school after the
lunch break when I was going for my substitute period.
DISCRIPTION OF THE WHOLE SITUATION:
When I was going for my substitute period then I saw bunch of
students gathered around in the balcony of the second floor at
outside of classroom of Class: 10th”C” . With none of time wasting I
rushed to know the whole situation. I saw two boys were fighting as
well as abusing with each other. All other students were gathered
around and watching them fighting. None of the student was
compromising among them rather than they only watching them
fighting.

REFLECTION:
According to my view, I want to suggest that the students are
the future of tomorrow and we should nourish them properly. So, we
should listen and pay attention to them. In the above situation, I
politely asked them to keep aside and narrate the reason behind the
fight. Both told their part of the story to me. Then I politely handle
the whole situation and compromise between both boys. At last, both
boys shake hands with each other and apologize for the misdeeds to
each other. They “Thank” me and promised me for not fighting
their after and proceed for their respective class.

I personally listened to both boys and eliminate their

misunderstanding and guide them softly. So, both boys pay attention
to me and follow/agree my views. I want to give the reader the
message about how to tackle these types of situations that “We
should listen, pay attention and guide them softly.”
Thank you....

Have a nice day....
