Purpose: To provide a basis for estimating the nursing needs of my family

Health Care Need:

Family Nursing Problem

 We are at dinner and no one talks to each other

 When one gets sick, usually everyone gets sick
 Sibling are very selective of their food
 The house is always messy and dirty
 So much trash piled up unable to throw it outside afterwards
Objectives of Care

 The problem is that there is no communication between family members

 Hygiene is a big factor in a common household
 Keeping a house clean is major impact in the well being of the family members
 Eating the right food consistently is also a big factor that can help my family
 Being able to learn the common hygienic practice a home can help stop the
spreading of sickness to one family member to the next
Nursing Intervention

 Make time for family meeting to help them communicate with one another
 While communicating with one another, me as a nursing student can give guidelines
on how to improve on self-hygiene to help stop the spreading of sickness to one
family member to the next
 Also give good food advice to my siblings and tell the importance of why they need to
eat healthy to be healthy
Rationale

 My family has the history of having very high blood pressure, so by reminding them
of the precaution we have to take can really help with our health
 Communication is essential in order for a family to function properly and to be able to
discuss the problems in one’s family, which is needed in mine
Evaluation

 My family needs to discuss the issue that needs to be resolved due to the family
history that my family has
 My family needs to learn why hygiene must not only be practiced inside the comfort
of our home but inside as well.
