INTERHOUSE HASYA KAVITA PRATIYOGITA
“Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings and emotions recollected in
tranquillity.”
In order to encourage students to read and love poetry, Inter house Hasya Kavita
Competition was held at Indore Public School, on August 2, 2019 in two categories –
Junior group (classes VI - VIII) and Senior group (classes IX - XII). The audience was
mesmerized by the jubilant and humorous poems recited by the young poets so
confidently. They enthralled the judges by their expressions and perfect voice
modulation. In the junior group, there was a tie between Anirudh Joshi (Raman house)
and Tejasveer Singh Othi (Subhash house) for the third position. Second position was
secured by Riya Aniya (Subhash house). The students of all the houses presented their
topic splendidly and Nikhil Dubey (Tagore House) was announced as the winner of the
competition .

In the senior group, Lakshita Mahajan (Subhash house) secured the first position.
Second position was secured by Prachi Goyal (Tagore House) and Amisha Moyde
(Tagore House) was on the third position.
HINDI SULEKH PRATIYOGITA-PRIMARY BLOCK

Handwriting contributes to reading fluency because it activates visual perception
of letters.Learning to write is an important tool for cognitive development.
To hone the Hindi writing skills, Hindi Sulekh Pratiyogita was conducted in the Primary
Block of Indore Public School on August 2, 2019 in which students of classes I-V
articulately showcased their Hindi writing skills.

“IPSIANS” ON A DATE WITH “THE LION KING”


Movies are a great way to learn language, but they’re also a fun way to
learn about different cultures.
Indore Public School Main Campus, bubbled with zest and enthusiasm, as
the students of class Nursery to class V were taken for a special movie
screening: - ‘The Lion King ‘on August 5, 2019.
‘The Lion King is a Disney animated story of a lion cub that undergoes lots
of challenges in search for his destiny as king.
The IPSIANS carried the thought to look inside oneself, in order to overcome
any challenge that life throws on the way and always believe in yourself.
The children had the opportunity to shine and enjoy together. The Head of
the Institution Ms, Sudha Pandey reiterated that it was the school’s
endeavour to ensure holistic development.

than we show. We do consider ourselves a medium on this significant social platform-
face book. Striving to be “Pilots of Education” with a listening culture, being a pro-
active, helpful and transparent change agent in the world of knowledge and
opportunities, we are totally not there yet. The amazing score of 8000 likes has
empowered us and has given us the motivation to move on and come up with some
better and more engaging plans framed in an innovative design and more worthy stuff
for our fans for the people who love us. We see it as a natural process to get our fans to
co-create and converse with us in near future!
RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION

RakshaBandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between


brothers and sisters.

To strengthen the bond of this festival, a Rakhi Making Activity was organized for Pre-
Primary wing and Rakhi Making competition for Primary wing on August 10 ,2019.

Students put in their best efforts to make colourful and aesthetically designed rakhis.
Head of the institution, Ms. Sudha Pandey lauded the creativity of the students.
RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION
To Celebrate the auspiciousness of the affectionate bond between a brother and a
sister; Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in the Primary Wing of Indore Public School. The
colourful Rakhis prepared by the students were tied and the sweets were exchanged
thus making the atmosphere festive.
INTER HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION
‘CRICKET IS KILLING THE OTHER SPORTS IN INDIA.’
‘Speakers are not produced overnight, but they are made with knowledge,
determination and a hard-to-find alloy called guts!’
Literary activities like debates help children enhance academic research,
creativity, expression and communication skills. A debate makes students learn the
nuances of debating, putting forth their viewpoints confidently and gain unparallel
knowledge.
An Inter-house English Debate Competition was held at Indore Public School on
August 10, 2019 for classes IX to XII. The topic of the debate was ‘Cricket is killing the
other sports in India.’
Debaters from all the four houses— Gandhi, Raman, Subhash and Tagore debated
excellently in favour and against the motion. The audience applauded for each
one of them as they kept forth their arguments with great confidence and aplomb.
The contestants were judged on oratory and persuasion skills, content, expression
and fluency by Dr. Shaloo Manocha and Ms. Jyoti Jaiswal, senior faculties of English
and Communication Department, at IPS Academy. It was an erudite experience
for the participants as well as the audience. Two best speakers were selected in
each category.
1st position for the motion: Anusha Porwal (Class XII) of Gandhi House.
2nd position for the motion: Venya Agrawal (Class X) of Tagore House.
1st position against the motion: Anubhuti Nigam (Class XII) of Gandhi House.
2nd position against the motion: Shruti Gupta (Class X) of Raman House.
Appreciating the performance of the participants, Head of the Institution Ms. Sudha
Pandey quoted, “The views put forth displayed the expertise of the debaters rising
to the challenge to prove their arguments.”
PRE PRIMARY SPRUCED UP AS OUR NATIONAL LEADERS
Fancy Dress Event at Indore Public School, with the theme of National Leaders of India
Fancy dress is an art of wearing a special costume as a part of a theme.
The children of pre- primary celebrated the free spirit of India’s 73rd Independence Day with
great enthusiasm and joy on August 14, 2019. Indore Public School organized a National
Leaders Fancy Dress Event. To commemorate the sovereignty, the tiny tots dressed
themselves up as Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Rani Laxmi Bai, Subhash Chandra Bose and
many others.
The kids were given an opportunity to speak about the leader they were representing. Every
child that came on stage actually relived and spread the spirit of our national leaders.
The Head of the institution Ms. Sudha Pandey appreciated the confidence and attire of the
tiny tots.
Catch a few glimpses of the day and even you will be full of praise for the children.

Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

Independence was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect by the School
management, staff and students of Indore Public School.

To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Head of the Institution, Ms. Sudha
Pandey along with the Head boy and Head girl hoisted the tricolor and all in unison
sang the National Anthem that echoed the atmosphere with patriotism.

Patriotic Poems were recited and Songs were subg both by the teachers and the
students. The Patriotic fervor that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother
land was the wonderful formation of the Map of India by the mentors of the school,
symbolizing unity and strength. Ms. Meena Pratap in her address to the gathering
expressed her views on understanding the responsibility of freedom. On the occasion
of Independence Day and Rakshabandhan festival, President IPS group of Institutions
Ar. Achal Choudhary extended his best wishes to the staff and students. Reminding
everyone of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters, the Head of the
Institution, Ms. Sudha Pandey asked everyone to take a pledge to serve our
motherland and glorify it with our dignified deeds.
INDORE PUBLIC SCHOOL HOSTS
THE INTER-SCHOOL ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION
Indore Public School has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way
that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. With the same
perspective in view, an Inter- School English Debate Competition was hosted in the
school auditorium, on August 21, 2019 wherein 40 students of various schools across
Indore participated with full zest.
The program began with lighting of lamp. Participants argued for and against the
motion of the topic ‘Cricket is killing all other sports in India.’ Mr. A.K. Majumdar a
hockey player of international level, Ms. Mansi Jain debater of national and
international repute and Ms. Manali Borkar Head of the English Department at Indore
Public School, judged the participants. The teams used various skills like
overstatement, definition, rhetoric, irony etc. to convince the audience. At the end of
the heated but interesting debate which lasted over three hours, the team of Delhi
Public School were declared as the winners and were awarded with the rolling trophy.
The team of Bhawans’ Prominent International were declared runner up. Besides this,
all the participants were given a certificate of participation. Participants of Indore
Public School, Main Campus was also highly praised by the judges.
INDORE PUBLIC SCHOOL ENTERS SEMIFINALS OF
KASLIWAL TROPHY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The extraordinary performance of the Football Team of Indore Public School (Main
Campus) paved its way to secure the third position in the 35th Kasliwal Trophy Football
Tournament 2019 organized at Daly College on August 17, 2019. In the first match, the
NDPS team lost to the team of Indore Public School by 4 – 0. Tanmay Sule was
awarded as the Man of the Match’ for his outstanding performance.
The second match of Indore Public School (Main Campus) was against Indore Public
School (Eastern Campus), in which our team won by 1 – 0. Sandeep Jat of Indore
Public School was adjudged as ‘Man of the Match’ for his outstanding performance.
Our team also defeated the team of Daly College by 2 – 1. Vaibhav Patidar of Indore
Public School was honoured as The Man of the Match for his outstanding
performance.
The fourth match was also won by our team against Bhawan’s Prominent by 6 – 0.
Sudhir Choudhary of Indore Public School was awarded as Man of the Match for his
outstanding performance.

Management and Head of the Institution, Ms. Sudha Pandey praised the dexterity of
the team as well as their mentor Mr. Sachin Pardeshi.
KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is. “Bhagavad Gita” Krishna
Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tiny- tots of Pre-
Primary Section at Indore Public School on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Dressed as Radha
and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations
when they danced to the beats of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive
spirit.
 
A swing was also decorated beautifully and all the child enjoyed it. A class wise tug of
war game was also organized. The children beautifully enacted a short skit about Lord
Krishna and also chanted shlokas and bhajans.

To keep the merriment going, the teachers distributed handmade pots, Makhan Mishri
with other goodies to the kids.

Head of the Institution Ms. Sudha Pandey appreciated the event and added that such
occasions create awareness about Indian traditions, customs and culture
among students.
JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS

INDORE PUBLIC SCHOOL HOSTEL

Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great devotion and
enthusiasm at Indore Public School Hostel on August 23, 2019. Principal, Ms. Sudha
Pandey graced the celebrations which commenced with the traditional Puja to
commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna- the eighth avatar of Vishnu, followed by
chanting of devotional songs. The celebrations glorified with Dahi- Handi
competition, tug-of-war and dance performances, recreating the aspects of
Krishna's youthful days. The boarders along with the hostel staff thoroughly enjoyed
celebrating God's playful and mischievous side. Overall, Janmashtami was
celebrated with great pomp and show.
SGFI SELECTIONS STATE LEVEL JUDO TOURNAMENT
“The will to win is important but the will to prepare to win that is of greater importance.”

The Judo team of Indore Public School, Main Campus brought laurels to the School by
getting selected for the State Level Judo Tournament organised by School Games
Federation of India (SGFI).
Prince Patel, Hriday Sharma, Prarthana Patel, Shrinivas Deshpande, Hariom Dhakad,
Vansh Jirati and Jatin Panthi have been selected for the State Level Judo Tournament
to be held in Ashok Nagar, Guna from August 24-28, 2019. Congratulating the notable
performance of the students, Management and Head of the Institution Ms. Sudha
Pandey extended their best wishes to the students and their mentor, Mr. Kamal Dabi for
the tournament ahead.

The programme stretched for the entire week with a number of activities taking place every
day. The aim was to create awareness about the role of helpers in our day-to- day life and that
all jobs are important and worthy of respect.

The children came dressed as different helpers such as doctor, soldier, baker, vendor,
firefighter, policeman etc. and displayed their gratitude to the community helpers who make
communities cleaner, safer, and more pleasant for other people. The different categories of
helpers could be seen together under one roof.

It was amazing to see tiny tots speak confidently about the character. The children also sang
songs and recited rhymes related to the helpers. The children were made aware of the
different tools the helpers use. The children also visited the different helpers in the school and
thanked them for their services.
BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

In order to make children aware of uses of waste material, and to give them a lesson on
reducing waste to save our future, a 'Best Out of Waste Material' Competition was
organized on Friday, August 30, 2019 for the Primary Section of Indore Public School.
The activity explored and encouraged creativity in children and offered them a
platform to showcase their skills. It also inspired children to think and work creatively
and promote artistic excellence. Each of the goods prepared by the children was a
treat to the eyes. This fun filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation of all the
students. Exceptional ideas were executed by skillful fingers of students of classes I to V.
Right from waste plastic bottles, spoons to broken bangles, plastic hangers, and waste
baskets to broken trays, old CDs and newspapers were all transformed into intricate
artifacts.

Tanishka Sharma, Zohran Khan, Sanvi Mathur, Avish Shinde and Kinshu Banglewala
from class I, Anvi Sharma, Kartikey Bhatt, Jai Sagar, Aanya Tripathi, Bedant Raj, Snehit
Sukhnani and ParthRaj Singh Rathod from class II, Kanak Jain, Arnav Tripathi, Era Singh,
Eva Tandya, Yatharth Gore, Vedha Diwakar, Tamanna Patidar, Ridhan Rathod,
Dhanvi Garg and Avishi Sarda from class III, Ashraj Baijal, Abhyuday Sharma, Divyanshi
Meena, Anshika Punwar, Sehrish Aslam, Dhairya Vasnani and Atharv Sugandhi from
Class IV and Advika Patel, Apoorva Dubey and Anika Dhakad from Class V were the
winners of the competition.
