This Internet Usage Policy applies to all employees of PCCW Solutions Philippines, Inc. who have access
to computers and the Internet to be used in the accomplishment of their work. Use of the Internet by
employees is permitted and encouraged where such use supports the goals and objectives of the
business. However, access to the Internet is a privilege and all employees must adhere to the policies
concerning Computer, Email and Internet usage.
Violation of these policies could result in disciplinary and/or legal action leading up to and including
termination of employment. Employees may also be held personally liable for damages caused by any
violations of this policy. All employees are required to acknowledge receipt and confirm that they have
understood and agree to abide by the rules hereunder.
Purpose
1. Provide an internet connection to employees and its affiliate visitors for work related activities.
2. Arrange for a facility or resource that will support the employees effective on-time delivery of
quality works or projects.
3. Offer another avenue for communicating with other colleagues, partners and clients who are
not within the same company premises.
4. Privilege offered to its employees for online learning, knowledge acquisition, re-tooling and the
likes to better equip the person(s) or personnel.
Unacceptable use of the Internet by Employees includes, but is not limited to the following below:
1. Sending or posting discriminatory, harassing, or threatening messages or images on the Internet
or via company email service.
2. Accessing those classified as social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and the likes otherwise
authorized by the management.
3. Accessing video streaming and blog sites like YouTube, Reddit, and the likes otherwise
authorized by the management.
4. Accessing and playing various Online Gaming sites and Cryptocurrency sites.
5. Accessing of sites on anti-Christ, pornography, violence, impropriety and the likes.
6. Using computers to perpetrate any form of fraud, and/or software, film or music piracy.
7. Stealing, using, or disclosing someone else's password without authorization.

8. Downloading, copying or pirating software and electronic files that are copyrighted or without
authorization
9. Sharing confidential material, trade secrets, or proprietary information outside of the
organization.
10. Hacking into unauthorized websites.
11. Sending or posting information that is defamatory to the company, its products/services,
colleagues and/or customers.
12. Introducing malicious software onto the company network and/or jeopardizing the security of
the organization's electronic communications systems.
13. Sending or posting chain letters, solicitations, or advertisements not related to business
purposes or activities.
If an employee is unsure about what constituted acceptable Internet usage, then he/she should ask
his/her immediate superior for further guidance and clarification.
Moreover, IT Service Delivery Team have the ability to block sites and control downloads in real-time
categorization and filtering ability that covers over 165 million websites, making it the ideal
companion to an effective Internet Usage Policy.
Report on the internet usage will be provided to the Management, Capability Heads and Leads for
appropriate actions in violation of this policy.
All employees, partners and clients who are given privilege access to internet are covered of this
policy. It is expected that everyone complies with the provisions hereto.
To guarantee that the employee’s rights and privileges as defined in the HR Policy are not
violated, proper due process will be observed prior to the issuance of disciplinary actions.
Violations of this policy will result to disciplinary actions as defined in HR Policy.
AMENDMENTS
This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis. Amendments will be applied to ensure
suitability, relevance and effectiveness.
