DISCUSSION
1. Why did the states join together to form a union?
Because the population was growing and this led to that the states to join.
2. The coat of arms of Buenaventura has two large sections, divided by a diagonal
line that runs through the pavilion from top to bottom and from right to left.

The left side has a background of intense blue, on which rests a gold anchor on
the diagonal, and in front of it appears a caduceus also golden, in perfect
balance on its tip.

The anchor is the most faithful representation of the most important rubric in
the economy of Buenaventura: port activity
In the other half of the shield there are three subdivisions:

– The first part is a beautiful sunset in the bay, with a sky red background.

– The second part shows the reflection of the setting sun over the sea.

– The third part reflects the sand of the shore, and does honor to the land of
Buenaventura and its lush vegetation.

3. States

San Buenaventura

Flag: Its colors are yellow and blue, the yellow represents the growth of the state, the
blue water wealth.
In the center of our flag has an anchor that represents the activity in the port.
Our motto is “the union makes the force”.
We are going to export originating products of the state supporting small and medium-
sized enterprises.

GRANADA INN
Flag: its colors are white, red, yellow, and green. The white represents transparency, the
red passion for the job, the green the hope of a better future, and the yellow wealth of
our soil, in the center of our flag has a wheel that represents the navigation.
Our motto is navigating towards the future.
We are going to implement a follow-up plan to all the companies dedicated to port
activity to strengthen their exports and imports
