To Whom It May Concern,

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Robert Yocom. I am a
Doctor of Physical Therapy who has known Robert for over two years, since I started practicing as a
licensed therapist. I had the pleasure of working alongside Robert for over a year in an outpatient
therapy clinic where he worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) since July 2017. Robert has
never hesitated to offer a helping hand as he did with me on my first day as a new hire. Having only
worked in the clinic a year, he had already established himself as a reliable, helpful, and
knowledgeable therapist that gained the respect of his peers through his leadership qualities.
Robert has always been a higher achiever from being valedictorian of his PTA class to earning a
perfect score on his therapist licensing exam. This has been greatly reflected in his everyday work as a
physical therapist assistant where he delivered exceptional care to every patient, always ensuring he
was most knowledgeable to the best of his ability. Despite my higher level of education, there were
numerous times I would turn to Robert and ask for his advice and recommendations for patient cases
because of his vast knowledge. Robert has many times quoted research articles when choosing
interventions with patients indicating his strive for evidence based practice. It is apparent in Robert’s
current skills that he is already capable of excelling in a doctoral level program, where he will even
further advance his education.
Furthermore, Robert demonstrates excellent ability to multitask and excel in time management
with his ability to work full-time in one of the busiest clinics, while also working to earn his Bachelors
degree. I have personally witnessed Robert seeing 20+ patients in one day, all while giving quality care
to each patient and admiring the relationships he develops with each one. He has the ability to
emulate kindness and empathy to all of his patients, who constantly praise his character to his
superiors. As his supervising therapist, I have never had any doubts in handing off my patients to be
treated by Robert, as I always know they will be in good hands. Robert is an exceptional person who
has helped myself, and several of our colleagues, even outside of the clinic on his day off because that
is just the kind of person he is. His kind and compassionate character speaks for itself as he will always
strive for excellence in everything he does.

Stephen A. Murga PT, DPT
