7 Republic of the Philippines Department of Education 30 MAY 2019 DepEd MEMORANDUM No. 061 s. 2019 2019 QUALIFYING EXAMINATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS OF THE MATHEMATICS TRAINERS’ GUILD PHILIPPINES To: Undersecretaries Assistant Secretaries Bureau and Service Directors. Regional Directors Schools Division Superintendents Public and Private Elementary and Secondary School Heads All Others Concerned 1, The Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG) Philippines announces the administration of the 2019 MTG Qualifying Examination on July 20, 2019 in different MTG training centers nationwide. 2. The qualifying examination aims to a. evaluate the breadth of learners’ mathematical knowledge and skills, b. select superior learners in the field of Mathematics for further training and advancement, c. provide them with the appropriate venue to enhance theit math skills through several phases of trainings, and d. develop the mathematical potentials of promising learners to meet international math standards. 3. The target participants are mathematically inclined and gifted elementary, junior, and senior high school learners from public and private schools. 4. _ The registration fees of public school learners shall be free of charge. Said fees shall be sponsored by the Philippine Board of Studies Foundation (PBOSF) Inc. 5. _ Examination qualifiers shall be eligible to enroll in the following MTG training programs for School Year 2019-2020: Training Program | Description oo Mathematical Challenge _ | A total of 12 Saturday sessions that are for Filipino Kids Training | usually conducted for three hours within the Program (MCFKTP) ___| academic year _ ‘A four-day in-house intensive training program for MCFKTP top scorers through which qualifiers and alternates shall be Young Mathematical In- house Intensive Training Program (YMIITP) ‘A month-long training for YMIITP qualifiers Mathematical Olympiad | and alternates on advanced math contents, Summer Training Program | concepts and strategies in preparation for (MOsTP) their participation in different international contests «. ee ee ec ee Mee mee ene ee caee ct cn ae ee 6.
