Week 1:

Preparing oneself for Prepartum exposure

1. What are my mental, physical, emotional, social, preparations?

I have this anxiety during duty that I think too much on things that might go wrong,
that’s why prepare myself and learn in advance the things that I can partake to the
client so that I can comply with their needs like health teaching and ideas needed
for prepartum. I prayed in order for me to keep calm an di also asked for the help of
my mother in order for me to be comforted. I have prepared myself holistically to
be effective in the things that I do during this rotation.

2. What to expect from myself, RLE Preceptor, groupmates, Prepartum staff and other
healthcare personnel?
I expect to learn more in this rotation because I know it is an integral time of life of a
mother to be able to pregnant. I expect that my groupmates that they will
cooperate and also enjoy.

6. How will I imbibe the core values, mission, vision of the university and the mission
and vision of the college of Nursing?

Week 2:

1. What are the difficulties I encountered during the first week exposure?
2. How did I utilize the nursing process in providing quality nursing care?

Week 3:

1. What evidence-based practices did I apply during exposure?


2. What Health teachings have I imparted to the client and family?
3. What competencies have I achieved/attained during the entire prepartum exposure?
