Good morning class, today we will talk about pollution. Recently, the condition of the
environment has become a popular subject on the radio and television. This is due tu the
growing speed of population especially in modern cities and developed country. Pollution
takes place when chemical waste from industries spoils the atmosphere, rivers, seas
and soil. It is one of the most worrying problems of industrial countries. People, plants
and animals are being endangered by harmful chemichals discharged by industries. For
instance, the smoke that comes out of factory chimneys contains gases that will mix with
the water in the air and returns to earth in the form of acid rain. Acid rain can wear away
the paint and concrete of buildings, or destroy entire lakes and other wildlife areas, by
killing or poisoning all the living things living in or near them. It can also cause health
problems if it enters drinking water or skin problems to people if it is very acidic.

Good morning class, welcome to polical science class. First of all I want to give a little
explanation about political science. Political science is the systematic study of political
life. Political scienctists study government, political parties, pressure groups, international
relations, and public administration. All these are activities of individual and groups, and
involve basic human relationships. Political science deals with such fundamental values
as equality, freedom, justice, and power. Political science is closely related to history,
law, philosophy, and sociology. History provides much of the raw material with which
the political scientists works. Law, especially public law, supplies framework of formal
ideas for political scientists. Philosophy relates political science to the other sciences,
and sociology provides the social setting for the facts of political life. The importance of
political science has increased greatly with the growth and spread of democracy during
modern times. In every democratic country, political science is essential in the processes
of government. The political scientist studies these processes and the operations of
government agencies and departments. His work provides a factual basis for critism
and reform, probably the most important elements of democratic government. Political
scientist also develop useful materials for the education of the young. Without that kind
of training for future citizens a democratic society could not prosper.

Good morning students, today we will talk about cross infection. One of the most
important tasks in nursing care is preventing cross injection. This occurs when infection
in air, in dust, on common obejct, or by direct contact is spread from one person in the
ward to another. The consequences of cross infection can be very serious, and therefore
the nurse must understand exactly how infection can be spread. An infected person can
spread infection from his nose and mouth (droplet infection), in his faeces and urine
(often inderectly on his hands) or from a wound or lesion on his skin. Infection can enter
the body through the nose and mouth (inhalation), through the mouth (ingestion), and
through the skin if it is broken (inoculation). For these reasons it is extremely important to
take strict preventive measures. Since the nurse’s task is to move between the patients
in the ward, attending to their needs, her responsibility is the greatest. Consequently she
must keep herself, her uniform, and her equipment as clean as possible. All instrument
that come into contact with the patient must sterilised. All articles used by the patient
such as linen, crockery, cutlery, children’s toys, etc, must be washed or dsinfected. The
ward should also be kept free of dust or insects, as these too can spread disease. If the
infection is spread by droplets it will be particularly important for the nurse to wear mask.
If it is spread in the faeces, hand-washing will of course be necessary.

47. (narrator) : What is the topic of the lecture?

48. (narrator) : Where are the talk probably take place?
49. (narrator) : According to the speaker which is not the medium of infection?
50. (narrator) : What should the nurse do if the infection is spread by droplets?
