games bring good or bad influences on children.

People who have a pro argument claim that video games give a lot of benefits, playing
video games is a good way to kill children’s boredom. It can refresh the children’s mind
after a tiring school day. Moreover, they also argue that video games can trigger
children to be more creative because the games provide challenging ways to win. In
other words, they believe that the video games can actually sharpen a human’s brain.

Conversely, some people believe that video games make children lazy. They argue
that playing video games is addictive. As a consequence, most of the children prefer
playing video games to studying. These children find it hard to concentrate on their
study because they always think about how to spend more time playing video games.
In fact, there are also some children who skip their extracurricular lessons, just
because they want to play video games. In addition, most of the video games often
expose too much violence. Two years ago in the USA, for example, a student shot his
teacher and some of his friends. Newspapers said that the boy was deeply influenced
by the actions in the video games he used to play with.

It is obvious that video games have more disadvantages than advantages. Therefore,
parents should be very careful in selecting the appropriate games for their children.

these two effects wisely. So, you may fall in love every time but don’t have a
relationship unless you have been mature enough to manage your feeling not to be
too dramatic when you fall in love with someone.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to complain about an article in last Monday newspaper, ”Schools fail low
income children”. As the head teacher of one of the largest juniors high schools in the
city, I fell strongly that the article does not describe our school.
My school has children from many different economic background, but a large
percentage come from lower-income families. Nevertheless, our test show that the
children do well and benefit from the excellent works our teacher do. Last year our
school moved from 24th to 5th place according to the official assessment by the state
government. This is clearly not the “failure” that the article suggest.
I would strongly recommend that more careful research should be conducted in the
future so that your newspaper will more realistically describe the true situation in our
schools.

Independence Day Celebrate Peacefully Nationwide

1,000 flags, one love. a young boy and girl banded together to secure a flagpole to the
ground in mt. Merapi valley in Yogyakarta on Sunday. The pole was one of 1,000 flags
erected in the valley during a flag-raising ceremony entitled, “Seribu Bendera Satu
Cinta” (a thousand flag, one love).

In Medan, North Sumatra; the residents of Aur village held their flags-raising
ceremony. The local governments paid attention to Usmarlin, a participant who said
that the condition of the river had become a matter of great concern because of
pollution from both factories and domestic waste.
Meanwhile, 2,343 prisoners in South Sulawesi received sentence reductions due to
the independence day celebration, 92 of whom were released from prisoners.

Chinese Group Demands That Japanese Emperor Return Ancient Artifact

Adding to growing list of diplomatic disputes between China and Japan, a Chinese
group is demanding that Japan’s emperor return a 1300-years-old artifact that was
allegedly looted by Japanese soldiers in the 1930s. According to a Xinhua report, the
artifact in question is the Hongiujing Stele, originally from “northeastern China”. The
request was made in a letter addressed to emperor Akihido of Japan by China
Federation of demanding Compensation from Japan (CFDC) via Japan’s Embassy in
China. The request has been prominently report by both China's domestic and
international media outlet, suggesting that part of intent is to same Japan for its
actions during the first half of the 20th century.
From Xinhua’s report, it is unclear the extent to which the Chinese government is
involved in China Federation of Demanding Compensation from Japan (CFDC) is a civic
group that asked the Japanese imperial family for the return of a looted Chinese relic.
“The group seek” compensation for personal, material and spiritual damage caused
by Japanese militarism during the country’s aggression against China in the
20th century.
Webcams Make Alaska Bear Accessible

A new video initiative is bringing the famed brown bears of Alaska’s Katmai National
Park directly to computers and smartphones.
Whitout having to go there, you’ll be able to watch mature bears compete for salmon
at brook falls and other sites and cubs tumbling over each other as they play. Starting
Tuesday, a live web stream (http://is.gd.bfPAs8) will allow the public to log on and
see the brown bears in their natural habitat.
“I think it's an unparalleled opportunity for people to get that from row seat of the
lives of the bears at Brooks Camp”. said Roy Wood, chief of interpretation for Katmai
National Park and Preserve.
The project is a partnership with explore.org, which set up four high definition cameras
in Katmai, spokesman Jason Damata told to Associated Press. Three of them are at
existing viewing stands where bear fans come to watch animals.
The cameras provide access to a national park that is difficult to reach and expensive
for most tourist. It's about 275 miles southwest of Anchorage, but no roads lead to
Katmai. A trip there involved multiple airplanes and a lot of advanced planning; it’s
hard to get a lodge reservation at Brooks Camp before 2014. Camping is allowed, but on a
reservation system that goes online Jan 5.
It takes a lot of time, a lot of effort and a lot of money and the webcams will make it accessible
to anyone with access to a computer, a smartphone, a tablet device,” Wood said.
