Definition of recount
Recount is a text which retells events or experiences in the past. Its purpose is either to
inform or to entertain the audience.Recount text using the simple past tense in the
sentence.Recount text recounting of past events.The tense in recount text is simple past tense
.why? because recount text is a text which retells events or experiences in the past.it means
simple past tense using when there is text to tell the past.
For example:
-Holiday in Parangritis
There is word Last :Lampau ,So the word PERGI =GO (verb 1)be renamed
PERGI=WENT(verb 2)
Social function recount:To tell the readers what happened in the past through a sequence of
events.
