A. COOKER

1. Gas Ovens
Similar to cooktops, ovens fall under two main
categories of energy sources – gas or electric. Gas ovens are
on average quite a bit cheaper than electrical ovens of similar
quality levels, although it comes with some drawbacks. Firstly
you need a gas hook-up to connect it to. If you already have
one in your home then its fine, if not it is a separate cost and
installation to consider on top of the unit.

A common complaint about gas-powered ovens is that they tend to have hotspots and
uneven heating throughout the oven. If you like baking, or have a problem with food
browning, it’s important to look into whether you would like a conventional or convection
oven. If a gas oven is compatible with your current kitchen set-up and you’re not too fussy,
then it could be the oven type for you.

2. Electric Ovens

Electrical ovens work using heating elements placed

on the walls of the oven. They tend to run at an average
higher cost depending on the model and options, so they’re
not the most affordable kind. These ovens are the most
common variety produced today and tend to have a lot more
options for cooking your food at the touch of a button.
Electric ovens are the easiest to use, easiest to clean and the
easiest to achieve even cooking. They are also available in both convection and conventional
varieties, so if an electric oven is what you’re after, there’s plenty of choice to be had.
3. Rack Oven

The rack oven gives you increased efficiency and

flexibility at your bakery. A roasting trolley allows
you to easily load and unload roasting trays that are
stacked in one working step, making handling very
easy. Rack ovens operate based on the principle of
convection, in other words, based on hot air
circulation.

4. Hobs

a projection or rack on the back or side of the

fireplace, used to keep food warm.

5. TABLE-TOP COOKERS

Another type of cooker you might consider is a table-top

model. These appliances are similar in size to a large
microwave, measuring around 30-50 cm in width, and can sit
on your kitchen counter.

They often have a single shelf and offer many of the

conventional cooking functions you’d expect from a full-size
appliance, but with the benefit of being smaller. Pop in a
whole chicken to roast or use it as a backup for your main cooker when you’re preparing a
large meal.

evenly without the need for fan when baking. The heating
system is also capable of turning a stove into a fire.

their relatively small size compared to other types of grills.

operated as desired. Moreover, the combustion process is
also more hygienic.
