Are you really insecure?

Insecure, it’s something that we heard a lot these days, especially if you’re on social media. but do you
know what insecure is? And why there’s a lot of people who said that they’re being insecure?

So, insecure is a feeling that can be felt by someone because they tend to not realize and see that they
have something precious from their self or they don’t know their worth but other people can actually
see it, sometimes they would dislike their physical appearance and constantly compare themselves to
others. Insecurity can be caused by a lack of self-esteem and then they develop negative thoughts on
their mind, and that’s where the feeling of being insecure started. Someone who is having insecurities
might feel like they’re not any better than other people or having any other negative thoughts on their
minds. Insecurity can also make someone having fear of meeting people and it will give them a hard
time because as humans we need each other daily. Furthermore, insecurity can turn us into a hateful
and envious person.

So, how can a person can feel the state of insecurity?

Usually, it’s because someone experienced broke up, being dumped, misused of trust, or in an advanced
scenario, it is caused by physical, verbal, or sexual harassment.

1. You feel like you are don’t have something worth from yourself

2. You found yourself avoiding social interaction

3. You don’t want to get out from your comfort zone

4. You often compared yourself to other people

5. You have a lot of worries and fear

6. You’re hungry for recognition and praise from others

7. You’re having a hard time to appreciate other people work

If you found yourself in that 7 situation you need to stop RIGHT NOW! Stop feeling like you’re unworthy
or not special because everyone has their talent and specialty and that’s what makes us unique!

How to deal with insecurity?

First, you have to let go of that feeling where you think that you’re not special and not any better than
other people. Have a strong intention that you will get better and want to step forward. Focus on your
goal and try to achieve it in your way, and stop comparing yourself from other people because we have
our own pace. We were born original, don’t die a copy!

Second, join any social activity such as organization or any discussion group where you can meet a lot of
people, and slowly you will develop your public speaking skills. Push yourself to get out from your
comfort zone where you only listen and agree to others! Try to speak up!
Last, don’t let yourself feel frustrated for a long time, try to evaluate why you were frustrated and then
focus on your goals again. Because life is not all about sunshine and rainbows, there’s also a storm and
rain. So, don’t lose hope and keep on fighting!
