DCN Final Group Project

3 – 4 Group members are allowed

Due to current network security situation PTA wants to start a pilot project immediately. PTA asked for a
proposal document for the network designing, demonstration and implementation cost.

Proposed network will be in between PTCL Wapda Town exchange, PTCL Garden Town exchange and
MCB head office in Lahore.
 PTCL Wapda Town exchange is having 2 labs of 25 clients. Size of each lab is 75X45.
 Garden Town exchange is having 6 labs of 25 clients. Size of 2 labs are 65X45 and remaining are
75X45.
 MCB Head Office is having 5 Labs of 30 clients. Size of 2 labs are 95X45 and remaining are
85X45.

All above labs are having their different IP schemes. Some important servers of each organization may
be separate and some may be shared. 3 of these places are connected through dedicated wired /
wireless link.
Following deliverables are requested.
1. Executive Summary.
2. Network diagram having information of IP schemes and other related hardware. (MS VISIO or
MS Word) (both in hard and soft copy)
3. Each Lab placement design. (both in hard and soft copy)
4. Demonstration of fully working network by using simulators VM Ware and Cisco Packet Tracer.
5. All licensed software’s will be used including MS office, MS project and SAP A1 Financial module
at all client machines.
6. Fully costing of each and every possible product and services.
a. Fixed expense (one time cost)
b. Running cost of 3 years
c. Full cost = fixed cost + running cost of 3 years
Proof of each and every product and service price which you are including in this project should be part
of proposal report.
