CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY REPORT

Test Description Observed Values Units Biological Reference Interval

Immuno Assay :
TOTAL T3 (Serum/ ECLIA ) 123.6 ng/ml 70 to 204 ng/ml
(Ref.TIETZ Fundamentals of Clinical Chemistry)
Remaks :
1. Decreased values of T3 (T4 and TSH normal) have minimal clinical significance and not recommended for diagnosis of hypothyroidism 2. Total
T3 and T4 values may also be altered in other conditions due to changes in serum proteins or binding sites Pregnancy,Drugs (Androgens,
Estrogens,O C pills, Phenytoin),Nephrosis etc. In such case s Free T3 and Free T4 give corrected values. 3.Total T3 may decrease by <25 percent
in healthy older individuals
TOTAL T4 (Serum/ ECLIA ) 8.12 µg/dL 5.13 to 14.06 µg/dL
Remark:
1.Total T3 and T4 values may also be altered in other conditions due to changes in serum proteins or binding sites Pregnancy,Drugs
(Androgens,Estrogens,O C pills, Phenytoin) Nephrosis etc. In such cases Free T3 and Free T4 give corrected values.

T S H (Serum/ ECLIA) 5.90 Children (First Week) :1.0--39.0 µIU/ml

Children (2nd to 20th week) :1.7--9.1 µIU/ml
Children (21st week to20 years) :0.7--6.4 µIU/ml
Adult (21 years & Above) :0.4--4.5 µIU/ml
Pregnancy(1st Trimester) :0.3 --4.5 µIU/ml
Pregnancy(2nd Trimester) :0.5 --4.5 µIU/ml
Pregnancy(3rd Trimester) :0.8--5.2 µIU/ml

Remarks : 1.4.51 to 15 ìIU/mL - Suggested clinical co-relation or repeat the test with new sample as physiological factors can give
falsely high TSH . 2.TSH values may be transiently altered because of non thyroidal illness like severe infections, liver disease, renal
and heart failure, severe burns, trauma and surgery etc . 3.Drugs that decrease TSH values e.g:L-dopa,Glucocorticoids Drugs that
increase TSH values e.g: Iodine,Lithium, Amiodarone... Please note change in Biological Reference Interval . . . References : (1) Walsh
