Francis Lloyd V.

Galuza
BSA – 2B

Since I grew up calling as my name Francis, I never thought that it has its value. In the midst of
my learning stage, my teacher gave us an assignment which is to know the origin of our name.
Prior to that I asked my mother. Her name is Jhoanna Galuza. Then she explained me that my
name was not really meant for me. The name Francis was a suggestion of my Father’s friend. I do
not know his name but my father’s name is Edmund Galuza. Furthermore, my name was really
meant for my older brother, Bryan James Galuza but suddenly our parents already gave him a
name. Then until I finally came and use Francis as my name and Lloyd as an addition to that. On
the other hand, we are five siblings in our family. I am second to the oldest. Another brothers of
mine are Charles Matthew Galuza, the third one, and John Joshua Galuza who is fourth. Finally,
we only have one sister who is the youngest. Her name is Princess Ashley Galuza.
I enter school at the age of five. I came to have lot of playmates and friends there. I learned so
many things like reading, computing, and most especially interacting with the other children. I
also experienced being bullied that time. I thought school is for those who want to learn and at
the same time have friends. It suddenly broke my heart, my expectations, and my perceptions.
Just because I have a black birth mark in my back head they did not like to play with me. In
contrary, as I have said at the start even there were people who kept avoiding me, there were
also some true person who comforted me and they were my true friends during elementary days.
That would be the most unforgettable memories I had during that time.
When I finished my primary education stage, I step into high school. Blessedly, I got to enroll in
a private school as a scholar. Since grade 7 up to grade 12, I am a scholar. For I don’t pay tuition,
the school had set me grades that is not lower than 85 to maintain the scholarship. I am
challenged during those days. Things came to my mind was I cannot retain my scholarship for I
am not that smart. As years goes by, I made it until graduation being the class valedictorian. God
is good as always and that was my memorable experience during high school days.
Finally, I am now in college taking up my dream course, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
Passing our first qualifying examination was made me so happy. But God has planed everything
in my life beyond than that. I already passed our second qualifying examination being at the top
4. That was more than enough. I am so grateful until today.
Ten years from now, I see myself having my own auditing firm, own family, and own business.
I see myself as an external auditor in our country. Helping my parents, and my relatives would
always be part of me ten years from now. Ten years from now I am as successful as other CPA
out there. More to that, maybe teaching or being in academe would also be part of me.
