Session 3 Cybersecurity Risk Management Standards Overview: The Current


Landscape
                                  

9.50 – 10.30 am This session will cover the current state of cybersecurity standards for understanding,
managing, and reducing cybersecurity risks at the organizational level across industry
sectors, including an overview of the stock take report being prepared in conjunction
with this project. This presentation will provide a brief overview of differences in
approach among APEC economies regarding cybersecurity standards. A non-
governmental cybersecurity expert will provide more information on how economies
(potentially including outside APEC) currently use globally-recognized cybersecurity
standards, and the benefits of such an approach.

APEC economy representatives addressing similar prompts.

and share suggestions on how economies can utilize existing globally-recognized
standards in their cybersecurity approaches.

guidelines or capacity building initiatives are useful to promote the use of globally-

recognized cybersecurity standards within the APEC context. This is expected to inform
future activities to be supported at the economy-level and through APEC.
