Introduction
Healthcare is viewed by many in society as a fundamental human right – a constant pursuit of
every industry in every nation. Medical history is at the root of healthcare. It is the basis upon
which a nation’s health policies and programs are created and the foundation upon which
patient services are delivered. This is the reason why LiFEDATA is constantly innovating its
flagship product, LiFEDATA EMR (Electronic Medical Record) System. Medical data should
always enable the efficient delivery of holistic comprehensive connected healthcare for all.

Over the past ten years, LiFEDATA EMR has been recognized as a multi-awarded innovative
platform for doctors, patients in various verticals, healthcare institutions, service providers,
local government units and non-government organizations. Its design, functionality and easy-
to-use graphic interface makes it efficient, holistic and widely acknowledged by its endusers
from various members of the healthcare ecosystem.

The Proponent
The proponent of this proposal, Maria Lorena Simeon Florendo has been in the Healthcare
I.T. Industry for more than twenty years having organized and managed various business
initiatives from Healthcare BPO, medical transcription, software platform development and
managed I.T. services. She has been multi-awarded for her design and various
implementations of the electronic medical records (EMR) systems here and abroad, and has
been featured as one of the Philippines’ Top 50 Entrepreneurs by Go Negosyo in its 2014 sold
out book and has been a finalist both at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Philippines
Award 2013 and Asia CEO Awards as CEO of the Year 2014. She will be joined in this new
endeavour by her team of 15 dynamic men and women who have been with her for the
majority of LiFEDATA’s traction in the healthcare field.

LiFECARE Package: A Universal Healthcare and Insurance Platform


In the past months, Ms. Florendo has innovated the Health Information Platform (HIP) and made a
holistic affordable health and insurance platform using HIP’s iPatient component and made it into a
patient-centric PHR (Patient Health Record) packaged with healthcare and insurance services, and
supported by technology and analytics services. The proponent called this LiFECARE Package.
The LiFECARE Package platforms links the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Non-Life
Insurance, Life Insurance, Telemedicine and Technology Partners in LIFEDATA’s Health Information
Platform (HIP) in an effort to provide efficient, holistic and affordable services to consumers while
allowing its Enterprise Partners (from the HMO and insurance companies) to have access to
ubiquitous, intelligent and secured data and analytics to improve the delivery of their services.
Patient endusers on the other hand are given access to their own medical data through the use of
an iPatient account that is individually provisioned to them.

LiFECARE Package targets the 95% of the Philippine population who are not covered with proper
healthcare and insurance. Most of the selling will still be done through Enterprise and Institutional
Sales but this time, the target market will be the public and private schools for teachers; bus, taxi,
public and private transport cooperatives and logistics companies for drivers, conductors, helpers
and even motorists and cyclists; village associations for kasambahay, security and manpower
agencies for security guards, promodisers and contractual hires; agricultural cooperatives for
farmers and fisher folks; Freeport area administrators for various laborers of member companies;
religious organizations for priests, nuns, missionaries and lay ministers; government agencies and
local government units (LGUs) for government employees and constituents, and new BPO agents.

Size of the Market and Projections by 2021

LiFEDATA intends to separate LiFECARE Package (LCP) in a new company called LD Innovations,
Inc. (LDI). LDI aims to address the growing opportunities of the local and international healthcare
markets which is estimated to be over US$228 Billion by 2020. The Insurance Commission (IC)
reports that the Philippine HMO industry alone grossed a little over P8 Billion in 2018 covering
close to just 5 million members.

With 95% of the Philippine market still uncovered, LDI aims to register the initial 150,000 members
in 2 years with 10-20% growth every year thereafter. At its current basic plan price of P2,500 per
member per annum, LDI is looking at a revenue of P375,000,00 for the first two years with a
profit of at least P130,000,000 from LCP Sales. In addition, RCBC gives a revenue share of
P5/transaction for every earned transaction fee or an additional P18,000,000 revenue for LDI on
the first two years of servicing the projected 150,000 members, based on payroll transaction fees
alone.
