OBJECTIVE
Provide a brief idea on the topic of the design experiment. The Student
must mention what is the aim and the design aspects involved in this work.
Maintain 1.5 line spacing and use Times new Roman Font with font size
of 12.
THEORY
Students must mention the theory behind the work or appropriate literature
survey in brief. One may include equations and figures in this section if
thought appropriate. The equations must be written using the Microsoft
equation editor and all equations should be numbered. Maintain 1.5 line
spacing and use Times new Roman Font with font size of 12.
REQUIREMENTS
Students must state the simulation /programming platform required,
corresponding toolboxes, libraries or packages. In case of hardware
implementation, students must state the equipment, set-ups, ICs and
components requirement. However the component values may not be
stated here. The component value calculation can be performed in the
design section mentioned later. Maintain 1.5 line spacing and use Times
new Roman Font with font size of 12.
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
FLOWCHART
This section may be required if the lab is an exclusive software based lab.
The use ofFig.
this section
1. Put is again
appropriate to be (font
figure caption decided
size 10)by the concerned lab faculty
member.
For hardware based lab, the component value calculation using appropriate
equations are to be mentioned here. For software based labs, the entire code,
explanation of different sections of the code, their function and
interrelation between different sections of the code are to be mentioned
here.
OBSERVATIONS/RESULTS
The observations and results are to be recorded in this section. Students can
use tables and figures (generated through computer generated plots) to
illustrate their results. For hardware based labs, simulation results are to be
followed by measured results. For software based labs, parametric studies,
related plots and tables are expected as applicable. All tables should have
table numbers and table headings on top of it.
DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
For hardware based labs, a comparison between the simulation results and
measured results are to be performed. It is expected that both the results
will not be exactly same. Students must identify the reasons for such
deviation, limitations of the simulation platform or that of the hardware
prototype along with inherent uncertainties involved. For simulation based
labs, studies and comparisons based on parametric studies can be discussed
in this part as deemed fit by the lab faculty member.
